Ingredient Notes
- Apple juice: Used to form the ice ring that floats around in the punch to keep it nice and cold. Use 100% pure unsweetened apple juice or reduced sugar apple juice. You can also sub in white grape juice if preferred.
- Raspberries: Are frozen into the mold to mimic a wreath. You can use fresh or frozen raspberries or sub in another berry such as cranberries or diced strawberries.
- Orange juice concentrate: You can find this in the frozen section at the grocery store, along with the frozen cans of juice. Allow it to partially thaw before mixing in with the rest of the punch ingredients. You can also sub in another frozen concentrate, such as pineapple juice.
- Cranberry juice cocktail: Gives the punch a festive flavor and color. Use regular, reduced sugar cranberry cocktail or 100% pure unsweetened cranberry juice for more health benefits.
- Soda water: Use an unsweetened low sodium soda water such as Perrier or club soda. You can use regular or flavored (but not sweetened), if preferred. You can also use sparkling apple cider or ginger beer, but they will add more sugar and calories to the punch.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Step 1: Pour the apple juice and raspberries into an approximately 4 cup (1L) ring mold or bowl and freeze until ready to serve.
2. Step 2: When it’s time to serve the punch, combine the orange juice concentrate and cranberry cocktail in a large punch bowl.
3. Step 3: Add the soda water and mix until combined.
4. Step 4: Place the frozen apple juice-raspberry ring in the bowl to float. Serve cold.
Expert Tips
- This punch is best when served fresh as the soda water might start to lose some of its fizziness if left to sit too long before serving. The raspberry ring will also start to thaw the longer that it sits, so for the best presentation, add it right before you’re ready to serve up the punch.
- If you don’t own a ring mold, you can find one here. Alternatively, you can also freeze the apple juice and raspberries in an ice cube tray or bowl. You can even freeze it into some different holiday shapes to make it more festive!
- If you’d like to lower the sugar content of this drink, use reduced sugar apple juice and cranberry cocktail or dilute the punch with more soda water.
Storage Guidelines
Any leftover punch can be stored in the fridge for up to a week. Add extra soda water before serving to freshen it up again.
You can store the frozen raspberry mold in the freezer for up to a month and add it to the punch right before serving.
Recipe FAQs
This punch is best when served fresh. If you’d like to get a head start, freeze the raspberry apple juice mold up to a few days in advance and mix together the orange juice and cranberry concentrate in a punch bowl or pitcher and store it in the fridge. Add the soda water and frozen raspberry mold right before serving.
Definitely! This punch recipe has been made non-alcoholic to keep it kid-friendly and appropriate for those who choose to avoid alcohol, but you can definitely add your preferred alcohol to this festive drink. Try white wine, red wine, champagne or vodka to spike it up!
You can certainly use ice cubes instead, but they melt faster. The large size of the ice ring keeps it frozen for longer without diluting the flavor of the punch and also adds more of a “Wow” factor. I highly recommend it.
If you don’t have a mold, fill the bottom of a bundt pan with 1-2 inches of the apple raspberry mixture and freeze. To remove from the pan, either let it set at room temperature for a few minutes or run warm water on the pan to help it slide out. Easy!
Serving Suggestions
Garnish the punch with extra raspberries, orange slices and sprigs of rosemary, if desired. You can also jazz it up with some alcohol such as wine or vodka for an alcoholic twist.

For a festive dinner, try it along with any (or all) of the following:

Recipe Variations
- Change the fruit garnishes: Use fresh cranberries, blackberries, diced strawberries, or pomegranate seeds in the mold instead of raspberries. Fresh orange slices would add more color and dimension, too! Add some fresh mint leaves or lime slices for an extra festive touch.
- Lower sugar: Use reduced sugar apple juice and cranberry cocktail or add more soda water to dilute the punch more.
- To make alcoholic: Spike it with a splash of white or red wine, sparkling wine, champagne or vodka.
