Why We Love This Christmas Fruit Platter
- Light and Healthy: The holiday season is filled with so many decadent treats, sometimes it’s nice to take a break from all the added sugar and nibble on a healthy and refreshing snack. This Christmas fruit tray is the perfect solution for a fibre and nutrient-rich dessert or snack.
- Easy: This festive Christmas wreath comes together in under 30 minutes. Just wash the fruit, cut and assemble the platter!
- Festive: We used red and green fruit to keep a Christmas theme. Feel free to experiment with your favourite fruits, depending on what you have on hand.
Ingredient Notes

- Green grapes: Form the base of the wreath. Look for fresh green grapes that are free of brown spots and blemishes for the best presentation.
- Green kiwis: Try to find ripe kiwis that are not overly mushy. If they’re not ripe, they may have a more sour flavour.
- Raspberries: Raspberries are a great source of vitamin C, fibre and manganese. Look for raspberries that are vibrant, without being mushy.
- Pomegranate arils: Look for pomegranate arils in the produce section or remove them from a whole pomegranate if preferred.
- Honey melon: High in vitamin C and good for hydration, honey melon is great for supporting your immune system. To pick the perfect honeydew, look for a melon with a creamy yellow to white exterior with no cracks or bumps on the surface.
How to Make Christmas Wreath with Fruit – Step by Step

- Get out a large circular platter. Depending on the size of your platter, you may need to adjust how much fruit you use. Arrange kiwi slices in a circular pattern on the outer rim of the platter. Create an inner rim with the remaining kiwis. This will form the border of your fruit wreath.
- Next, fill in the wreath with green grapes.
- Using a small star-shaped cookie cutter, cut stars out of the honey melon.
- Finish decorating the fruit wreath by filling in any gaps with the raspberries, pomegranate arils and honey melon stars. Serve with fruit dip, if desired.

Tips for the Best Holiday Fruit Tray
- I used a circular serving platter that was 14-inches in diameter. You may need to adjust the quantity of the fruit based on the size of your platter.
- If you don’t have a large circular platter, you can also arrange the fruit in a circular pattern on a wooden tray, parchment paper-lined baking sheet or pizza pan.
- For the best flavour, use ripe fresh fruit for this holiday wreath. If the kiwi isn’t ripe, it may have a more sour flavour.
- If you don’t own a small star cookie cutter, then you can always skip the honey melon stars altogether, or make another Christmas shape instead.
- If desired, you can place a small bowl of fruit dip in the center of the wreath. It would taste great paired with this Yogurt Fruit Dip!
- For best results, serve this tray immediately or within 1-2 hours of preparing. The fruit looks and tastes best when fresh.
- The nutritional information is based on about 1/10th of the fruit tray. It may vary depending on how much fruit you use.

Recipe FAQs
I used a larger 14-inch platter, but you can use a smaller one or larger one, depending on what you have on hand. Keep in mind that if you use a different sized platter, you may need to adjust the quantity of fruit used.
Yes, although I find that this fruit platter is best served within 1-2 hours of being prepared. Otherwise, the fruit will not be as fresh and may get soggy or off tasting.
If you want to get a head start, the fruit can be cut within 24 hours of assembling the fruit tray. Keep the fruit sealed in an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator until ready to arrange the fruit wreath.
Storage Guidelines
This Christmas wreath fruit platter is best eaten on the day it’s prepared. If you have leftover fruit, cover it with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
Also, for food safety purposes, be sure to not leave it at room temperature for any longer than 2 hours.

Christmas Fruit Wreath
Ingredients
- 6 cups green grapes on a vine cut into smaller bunches
- 6 green kiwis peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
- 1/2 cup pomegranate arils
- 1 circular honey melon slice (for stars)
Instructions
- Get out a large circular platter. Arrange the kiwi slices in a circular pattern around the outer rim to form the outer edge of the wreath, and on the inner rim of the plate to form the inner edge of the wreath.
- Fill in the two rows of kiwi slices with the grape bunches, so that a wreath shape is formed around the plate with the grapes.
- Using a sharp knife, cut the honey melon in half and scoop out the seeds with a spoon. Cut a circular slice across the diameter of the honey melon, about a ½ inch wide. Use a small star cookie cutter to cut out 9 small stars from the honey melon slice.
- Next, add the “decorations.” Fill in the gaps between the grapes and kiwi slices with raspberries and pomegranate arils. Arrange the stars evenly around the wreath.
- Serve fresh along with your favourite fruit dip, if desired.

Made this for our cookie exchange gathering last weekend. This dish was a hit. I served it w a fruit dip of 7 oz marshmallow fluff, cream cheese – 8 oz and 2 Tbl of frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed. Wonderful tasting.
I have a question to ask…. how does one best serve this so it’s easy to eat. I put out smalll forks n toothpicks so one can fill their plate. Is there a better way to serve it?
I’m so happy everyone at the cookie exchange enjoyed it! That dip sounds delicious – thanks so much for sharing that idea! I think using little forks or toothpicks is a great idea if you’re serving it in a larger gathering. Some small tongs might work too if you want to pick up the bunches of grapes, etc. If you’re serving it to family, we typically just use our hands to put some of the fruit on our plates. The kids usually just dive right in, so no time for fancy utensils haha. Hope that helps :)
