These little raspberries are not only super cute, but they’re also healthy and easy to prepare! A great festive appetizer or snack for the holidays!
This past week, I really started getting in Christmas mode.
This weekend, Matt and I went to the Santa Claus parade, which I wouldn’t consider to be the most spectacular event of all times, but it always gives that nice community feel….you know? When you see the whole town lining the streets and and the stores are still open with people bustling around doing some early Christmas shopping. It just gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling.
Plus, when you hear all of your favourite Christmas songs and see Santa at the end of the parade, you just can’t help but get excited about Christmas!
I know. I know. I sound just like a little kid, right?
But I get SO excited for all of the planning and preparations that go along with the season.
Yesterday, to add to our festive weekend, we also did some serious Christmas decoration shopping….one of my favourite things to do! This is the first year that we’ll have our own tree to decorate. It’s a pretty big deal when you get your own tree!
You get to choose a colour scheme, figure out where to put all of the decorations, choose to go more rustic or blingy (I went blingy of course ;)
Lots to think about! More to come on this in a few weeks when I post the Christmas living room makeover!!!
Now I was also getting in Christmas mode at work last week making these adorable chocolate stuffed raspberries. Talk about a cute and festive appetizer! And they’re SO easy to make.
Honestly, I think it’s pretty much the most brilliant idea ever. I wish I had thought of it myself.
Not only are they cute, but healthy too! Raspberries are packed full of antioxidants AND they contain the most fibre out of all the berries. Cool, right?
And if you use the dark chocolate chips (preferably more than 50% cocoa)…there’s even MORE antioxidants!
I like to call this my little powerhouse appetizer.
I love how the colour of the berries adds a nice festive touch for the holidays
Or you can even serve it as a little snack to have throughout the week, especially if you’re craving something a little more indulgent.
MUCH more waist-friendly….IF you don’t eat too many.
My favourite way to serve these raspberries up are in little mini paper cupcake wrappers. They look like such a cute, yet classy appetizer.
What’s better than a gorgeous and healthy appetizer that only takes a few minutes to whip up?!
Not much!
And I swear, as much as it might seem like a lot of work, it really takes no time at all to pop a few chocolate chips into the raspberries.
ORRRR better yet…..just get the kids to do it :)
