Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups hummus (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup tzatziki (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup diced cucumber
  • 1/2 cup quartered cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced olives (black or Kalamata)
  • 3 tablespoons crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons finely diced red onion

For garnish

  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • Drizzle of olive oil (optional)

Instructions

  • Place a small bowl upside down (I used a clear glass one) in the center of a large charger plate, circular tray or dinner plate.
  • Spread an even layer of hummus around the bowl, leaving an inch or so from the edge of the plate, so that it forms the shape of a wreath.
  • Next, spread an even layer of tzatziki on top of the layer of hummus around the edge of the bowl, leaving about an inch of hummus showing around the edges.
  • Evenly distribute the diced cucumber, cherry tomatoes, sliced olives, crumbled feta, diced red onion, and chopped parsley over the layers of hummus and tzatziki, so that it looks like a colorful wreath.
  • Cut a bow shape from the red bell pepper and arrange at the bottom of the “wreath.”
  • Drizzle with a bit of olive oil, if desired. Serve immediately or cover carefully with saran wrap and place in the fridge for later.
  • Serve with pita chips, crackers and vegetables. Enjoy!

Notes

  • I made this wreath dip on a 10.5 inch dinner plate. If possible, I recommend making the wreath on a larger plate (like a charger or large circular tray) to allow more room around the edges, in case the hummus and tzatziki decide to spread a bit. This is especially the case if it’s been sitting in the fridge for a few hours or overnight since the cucumbers and tomatoes release some water, which can cause the hummus/tzatziki to spread a bit more.
  • I decided to keep the bowl in the center while serving to help the wreath keep its shape. If you do this, I suggest using a small clear bowl. If you don’t keep the bowl in the center, I recommend using a thicker hummus and tzatziki, to prevent it from running into the center when you remove the bowl.
