Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 2 hours 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 8-10 fresh mint leaves
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Half a large English cucumber, sliced
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  • Add the mint leaves and use a wooden spoon to muddle them in the bottom of a large pitcher to help release the oils and natural flavor. Pour water into the pitcher pitcher.
  • Next, add the lemon slices and cucumber slices to the water. Place pitcher in the fridge for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to infuse into the water. The water tends to taste best after being infused for about 4-5 hours. Serve in glasses with ice cubes if desired.

Notes

  • This infused water also tastes really refreshing with a splash of carbonated water in each glass as well.
  • Be sure to drink this water the day of making it since it will develop a bitter flavor from the lemon rind if left to sit too long. Alternatively, you can remove the cucumber, lemon and mint after the water has fully infused and then store the remaining infused water in the fridge.
