Prep Time 15 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries diced
  • 1 fresh ripe mango diced
  • 2 firm but ripe avocados peeled, pitted and diced
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped red onion
  • Juice of half a lime
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or more to taste)
  • Small handful of chopped fresh cilantro
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Place all of the ingredients in a large bowl and toss to combine. Allow it to sit for 20-30 minutes to let the flavors come together. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • This strawberry and mango salsa is best consumed within 1-2 hours of preparing since the avocado will start to brown if left to sit for too long. If you aren’t planning on serving this to a larger group of people, you may wish to only make half a batch, since the taste and presentation isn’t as good the next day.
  • If you wish to do some preparation ahead of time, you can chop up the strawberries, mango and red onion and store them separately until ready to combine and serve.
  • Choose mango and avocados that are ripe but not overly mushy so that they keep their shape when diced.
  • If your strawberries are on the tart side, you may wish to add a bit of additional honey to taste.
