Slow Cooker Pulled Pork with Homemade BBQ Sauce {Paleo}

This paleo pulled pork with homemade BBQ sauce is the ultimate quick and easy dinner recipe that can be made in the slow cooker!

– Pork – Onion – Garlic – Tomato Sauce – Tomato Paste

How to Make Healthier Pulled Pork BBQ Sauce

Add oil to a medium sized saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 5 minutes.

Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, tamari and mustard into the pan. Stir to combine.

Add in the seasonings and spices including the salt, paprika, cayenne pepper, chili powder, ground pepper and cinnamon. Stir to combine.

Allow the mixture to come to a simmer over medium-low heat and cook for about 12-15 minutes, stirring frequently.
