High Protein Pita Bread Recipe

This tender, chewy high protein pita bread is made with just a handful of simple ingredients, including whole wheat flour, Greek yogurt, and baking powder.

Ingredients:

– Whole wheat flour – All purpose flour – Baking powder – Salt – Greek yogurt

In a medium bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, all purpose flour, baking powder and salt.

Add the greek yogurt and olive oil and mix until everything is combined.

Cover the dough ball in plastic wrap and set it aside for 15-20 minutes to let it rest.

Preheat a large cast iron skillet over medium heat. Remove the dough ball to a lightly floured surface and portion it out into 8-10 small dough balls.

Roll out each ball into an oblong circle shape, no more than ¼” thick.
