Avocado Jalapeno Burgers
Serves: Makes 8 burgers
  • 2 lbs extra lean ground beef
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 jalapeƱo pepper, seeded and diced
  • ½ cup almond flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 avocado, diced
Optional toppings:
  • Sliced tomato
  • Lettuce
  • Slices of pickle
  • Slices of red onion
  • Dijon mustard
  • Thinly sliced Jalapeno peppers
  • Sliced avocado
  • Cheese
  1. Mix all of the ingredients for the burger together in a medium-sized bowl. Mix gently so that the chunks of avocado stay intact.
  2. Using your hands, form mixture into eight burgers.
  3. Place burgers on a piece of parchment paper on a plate or baking sheet and freeze for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up and prevent them from falling apart when grilling them.
  4. Cook on BBQ over medium heat for approximately 4-5 minutes per side or until cooked through. You can also bake them in the oven at 375 degrees F for about 25 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. Serve burger on bun or naked with desired toppings.
